Boosting the Kansas High School Cybersecurity Program with New Changes
The Innovation Center partners with Kansas Department of Education aligning High School Cybersecurity program with Career Cluster Pathways and standards.
Changes
These adjustments ensure students fulfill state-defined competency requirements and will offer maximum value for high schools in our area. Our Google Cybersecurity Professional certification aligns with Kansas Career Cluster Pathways as Cybersecurity I, part of the following pathways:
- Information Support and Services
- Network Systems
- Programming and Software Development
“Students now earn 9 American Council on Education (ACE) certified credits with the Cybersecurity certification,” said Maria Dahlquist, NWK Technical Program Specialist at the Innovation Center.
Furthermore, the Innovation Center has made improvements to its website, featuring new pages for Cybersecurity, Google Certifications, and other programs. These updates showcase all of the Innovation Center programs, and make it easier to access our many resources.
