Our own Business Services team expands with Michael Berges and Monte Keller. At the forefront of Innovation Center’s mission, the Business Services suite empowers entrepreneurs with tailored solutions, expert advice, and resources. Moreover, the dedicated team guides individuals through every step of their business journey, when they are launching a new startup, expanding an existing venture, or seeking ways to enhance operations.

Berges leverages 20+ years of Northwest and Central Kansas management experience, ideal for his Business Services Specialist role. Berges’ diverse background in hotel, foundation, and financial management empowers businesses for success in today’s dynamic market landscape.

“Michael’s background uniquely positions him to support businesses in Northwest Kansas. He has an understanding and a passion for rural Kansas. His professional experience allows him to assist businesses as he understands their needs and how to address them,” remarked Joe Leroux, Business Services Director at the Innovation Center.

Keller, boasting 30+ years in lending and finance, thereby adds invaluable expertise to the team as a Business Services Consultant. His expertise in SBA and USDA applications, along with business capital acquisition, makes him a vital resource for regional businesses.

“Monte is one of the most professional and trustworthy people I know of in the lending and finance industry. Our customers and community partners can be assured that the guidance he provides is their best path forward,” said Leroux.

The Innovation Center provides economic and entrepreneurial assistance to businesses in rural Northwest Kansas. The private operating foundation serves 26 counties in the region with a variety of programs. By working with existing businesses or entrepreneurs throughout the coverage area with targeted programs, Innovation Center strives to reverse the outflow of people and businesses from Northwest Kansas. Through its current and future initiatives that extend resources to these businesses and entrepreneurs, Innovation Center hopes to increase population and to foster economic innovation in Northwest Kansas.
