Summertime is finally here, and there is plenty of entertainment planned for you to enjoy right here in Northwest Kansas.
County fairs, festivals, and even concerts await those of all ages eager to make some summertime memories.
Local county fairs typically take place anywhere from mid-June to the beginning part of August and feature fun for all, including activities like carnival rides, pig races, all-you-can-eat watermelon and hotdog feeds, 4H projects, tractor pulls, talent shows, and even dirt track races.
Most counties in Northwest Kansas offer a county fair. For the avid fair-goer or even if you are just curious about what will be taking place at your local county fair, a great site to visit is Countyfairgrounds, USA. This website provides links to information about each county’s fair, including fair schedule, exhibits, and even concert tickets.
In addition to county fairs, many Northwest Kansas towns even boast festivals, featuring art, car shows, local talent, and crafts. The Phillipsburg Riverless Festival kicks off a summer of festivals, held in Phillipsburg on June 4th from 9:00AM-4:00PM. Admission to many festivals, including this one, is free.
