The Northwest Kansas Economic Innovation Center, Inc. (Innovation Center) is expanding its Business Services team with the addition of Michael Berges and Monte Keller. At the forefront of the Innovation Center’s mission, the Business Services suite empowers entrepreneurs with tailored solutions, expert advice, and resources. The dedicated team guides individuals through every step of their business journey — whether launching a new startup, expanding an existing venture, or seeking ways to enhance operations.
Berges brings more than 20 years of management experience in Northwest and Central Kansas, making him well suited for his role as Business Services Specialist. His diverse background in hotel, foundation, and financial management gives him a strong foundation for helping businesses navigate today’s dynamic market.
“Michael’s background uniquely positions him to support businesses in Northwest Kansas. He has an understanding and a passion for rural Kansas. His professional experience allows him to assist businesses as he understands their needs and how to address them,” remarked Joe Leroux, Business Services Director at the Innovation Center.
Keller joins the team as a Business Services Consultant with more than 30 years of experience in lending and finance. His expertise in SBA and USDA applications and business capital acquisition makes him a vital resource for regional businesses.
“Monte is one of the most professional and trustworthy people I know of in the lending and finance industry. Our customers and community partners can be assured that the guidance he provides is their best path forward,” said Leroux.
About Us
The Innovation Center provides economic and entrepreneurial assistance to businesses in rural Northwest Kansas. The private operating foundation serves 26 counties in the region with a variety of programs. By working with existing businesses or entrepreneurs throughout the coverage area with targeted programs, the Innovation Center strives to reverse the outflow of people and businesses from Northwest Kansas. Through its current and future initiatives that extend resources to these businesses and entrepreneurs, the Innovation Center hopes to increase population and to foster economic innovation in Northwest Kansas.
