And while Northwest Kansas Economic Innovation Center’s roots run deep in our 26-county region, we realize there’s still some people who need to become more familiar with our foundation. And the best way to tell you who we are is to tell you what we do. 

NWKEICI backs business. In fact, our mission is to provide economic and entrepreneurial assistance to businesses in rural Northwest Kansas. We’re not just talking about lip service. NWKEICI provides targeted programs that offer businesses the necessary tools for success. Whether through our Business Loan Program that steps up when traditional funding is not an option, or our Business Development Program that leads entrepreneurs through the maze of start up, we not only back business, we have business’ backs. 

NWKEICI makes connections. We’re all about establishing relationships to foster a strong economy throughout the region. In short, we help businesses find the best employees, and employees find the best job opportunities. NWKEICI focuses on the future. Our NW Kansas Cares for Kids helps for-profit childcare centers provide enrichment for the most important resource our region has: its children. Offering quality childcare and robust curriculum at these centers means professionals with families don’t have to settle for less than the best. They can have their career, and offer their children a strong start on their future, too.
