The second annual Northwest Kansas Childcare Conference will be held on August 1 & 2nd (Thursday and Friday), 2024 at the Hilton Garden Inn in Hays, KS. This two-day conference, sponsored by the Northwest Kansas Economic Innovation Center, Inc. will give participants the opportunity to gain 16 hours of KDHE approved training, including CPR/First Aid recertification.
THERE IS NO REGISTRATION FEE FOR CHILDCARE PROVIDERS!
The conference is open to licensed childcare providers in licensed day care homes, group day cares and childcare centers from Cheyenne, Clay, Cloud, Decatur, Dickinson, Ellis, Ellsworth, Graham, Gove, Jewell, Lincoln, Logan, Mitchell, Norton, Osborne, Ottawa, Phillips, Rawlins, Republic, Rooks, Russell, Saline, Sheridan, Sherman, Smith, Thomas, Trego, Wallace, and Washington Counties.
Participants may drop their fire extinguishers off in the morning at the American Fire Extinguisher booth. Extinguishers will be inspected/serviced onsite and they will be ready for pick-up at the end of the day.
Conference registration is available on a first-come/first-served basis. When slots are filled, providers will go on a wait list. Providers from the wait list will be included as slots become available. Last year, the majority of providers on the initial wait list were able to get a registration slot at the conference.

Session 3: First Aid/CPR 1:00 to 5:00 pm. Hays Providers will travel to Ellis County EMS for their First Aid/CPR. All other providers will stay at the conference venue for First Aid/CPR.
Last year’s participants raved about speaker Amy Nelson! We are pleased to bring Amy back for a second year. A Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Registered Play Therapist and Social Emotional Learning Coach, Amy is skilled at teaching in a dynamic way that bridges theory and practice. Amy will be sharing her presentation, Nurturing Neurodivergent Learners during Friday morning.
Participants will receive certificates for each training on site.
