MakeMyMove & Innovation Center | Regional Relocation Program

MakeMyMove Partnership

The Innovation Center has partnered with MakeMyMove with the goal of relocating 70 households across 24 counties in the region by August 2025.

There are currently 9 counties in the region represented on the MakeMyMove website. Applicants can move to any of the 24 eligible counties and that is clear during the application process, but currently, the counties listed below are the only ones with a distinct presence on MakeMyMove. In order for these counties to be represented, they assembled offer packages to appeal to potential movers and gathered content to showcase their county. You can check out what they have assembled below:

Results

Year to date, the Northwest Kansas Regional program has generated:

  • 499 applications
  • 13,167 page views
  • 91,081 individual people have interacted with the various county pages featured as part of the program.

On top of that, the Northwest Kansas Regional program has earned 2 movers so far

  • April is moving from Texas to Russell County and is renting an apartment in Russell.
  • Davida is moving from California to Rooks County and has purchased a home in Stockton.

The program is gaining great momentum and we’re excited for even more progress as the summer months set in! We’ll be collaborating with our partners at MakeMyMove to send you an update, much like this one, on a monthly basis as well as sharing best practices for engaging with applicants and welcoming movers to your community. As the applicant pipeline continues to grow, I will be leaning on this group to help answer applicant questions or provide assistance with the housing search, etc. Landing movers is all about being friendly, welcoming, and helpful and I know we’ve got a great group here that can help our region stand out from the crowd.
