Innovation Center Helps NWK Childcare Providers
The Northwest Kansas Innovation Center (Innovation Center) helps NWK Childcare Providers by coordinating a childcare shared services hub for Northwest and North Central Kansas. What does this mean for childcare providers in your area?
By participating in the Shared Services Network, childcare providers benefit from services that cost less and are often more efficient than what the programs could do on their own. A wide range of services are available to childcare providers in the Innovation Center shared services area, including:
- Funding for online childcare management technology
- Childcare Substitute Recruitment Scholarships
- Lending Library
- Purchasing Cooperative
- Childcare Professional Development Opportunities
Childcare Program Specialist, Dana Jo Stanton will coordinate hub services for the Innovation Center. “This grant will allow us to build on the services we already provide and expand into new ways to support our childcare providers.”
The Innovation Center Childcare Shared Services Hub will serve the following counties: Cheyenne, Rawlins, Decatur, Norton, Phillips, Smith, Jewell, Republic, Sherman, Thomas, Sheridan, Graham, Rooks, Osborne, Mitchell, Cloud, Wallace, Logan, Gove, Trego, Ellis, Russell, Lincoln, Ottawa, Ellsworth, Saline, Washington, Clay and Dickinson.
“I am so pleased to be partnering with Child Care Aware of Kansas on this project,” said Stanton. “This partnership will allow us to combine the resources of both our organizations to provide positive support to childcare providers in our region.”
